Bali is only a two hour flight from Singapore, so it's a natural destination for a few days' well earned rest. Over several visits my wife and I watched The Legian resort being built, in a spectacular location facing the ocean, and we were quick to book ourselves in once it had its soft opening. I was so enamoured of its style that I took a number of photographs within the property, which I subsequently sent to the General Manager with my compliments. This led to a commission to return and photograph more extensively over a number of days, and the result was 'Seven Nights at The Legian', a series of images conceived as a portrait of the hotel and as a gift for its guests. This portfolio is my personal selection of ten shots from the photographs I took at The Legian in September 1998. view
